Where is the sunshire ???

Really where is the sun  we only seen it on a few days now but we are sure it will come out soon hopefully
one night we saw a lovely sunset

we been slowly heading north   from our last post we have travel down the middlewich branch
 Shropshire union canal society were doing the locks to raise money , we brought a lovely cake

 this is the shortest  canal I know of  it is  154ft which includes 1 lock  it joins the Middlewich branch to the Trent and Mersey canal

 this is a old BW work boat which is still use by the Canal and river trust

 this is the ICI plant at Northwich

 this is the Anderton boat lift which lifts boat 50 feet from the River weaver to the Trent and Mersey canal , salt and lime were the main things that we take away on boats

raining oh yes it a bank hoilday

after a couple of lovely sunny days we had some wet days leading up to the bank holiday  but look on the bright side everyday on the canals is a good day

 Tina saw this owl in a tree opposite our boat

 I wonder now many people have took this photo

From BCN onto the Shropshire union canal

Monday , we left Titford about 7.30 and went down "The Crow" locks and back onto the old main line  passing the turning to the Black country museum

the Bcn house all have number on them
 then we went back pass Tipton  which is famous for making ship anchor's  and chains and a 19th C boxer know as the Tipton slasher William Perry

soon we were at the junction on the new main line here there is a old building which use to be the stables for the work horses
soon we were heading for Wolverhampton
 some form of art

we headed off about 6,45 as we had the Wolverhampton 21 locks we had good trip down them
